What is SecureSign Token?

Operation Guidelines

Setting Initial PIN
  1. Press  and hold for 2 seconds to switch on the token.
  2. It will prompt to enter NEW PIN.
  3. Enter a 6 digit numeric PIN and pressbutton. Try to avoid weak PIN such as 123456, 282828, 111111, etc. Pressbutton to correct any errors.
  4. PIN CONF will be displayed.
  5. Re-confirm 6 digit PIN and press.
  6. NEW PIN CONF and PBB indicates the PIN has been successfully set.
  7. FAIL PIN indicates that new PIN and confirm new PIN do not matched.
  8. Press button to start over.
PIN Sign On
  1. Pressand hold for 2 seconds to switch on the token.
  2. PIN indicates the token is waiting for PIN entry.
  3. Enter the 6 digit PIN.
  4. PBB will be displayed.
  5. If an invalid PIN is entered, FAIL 1 (FAIL 2 on the 2nd attempt and so on) will be displayed.
  6. Pressto retry PIN
  7. Note: After 6 consecutive failed attempts at PIN, the token will be locked.
Approve Transaction
  1. Create a transaction and select SecureSign Token as the authorisation method to approve the transaction.
  2. Press the buttom and hold for 2 seconds to switch on the token.

  3.  PIN indicates the token is waiting for PIN entry.

  4. Enter your 6 digit PIN and PBB will be displayed.

  5. Follow the on screen instruction to obtain your SecureSign code. (Refer to visual guide)
Visual Guide

The SecureSign code will be displayed on the token's LCD . Enter the SecureSign Code on PBe or PB engage and click "Submit"  to complete the transaction. 

Important! There is a maximum of 6 attempts to generate and enter the correct SecureSign code. After 6 failed attempts, your PBe account will be blocked. Please contact PBe Customer Support at 03-2170 8000 for assistance.

Change PIN
  1. Pressand hold for 2 seconds to switch on the token.
  2. PIN indicates the token is waiting for PIN entry.
  3. Enter the 6 digit PIN.
  4. PBB will be displayed.
  5. Press button and hold for 2 seconds.
  6. NEW PIN indicates the token is waiting for new PIN.
  7. Enter a new 6 digit PIN and pressbutton.
  8. PIN CONF will be displayed
  9. Re-confirm new 6 digit PIN and pressbutton.
  10. NEW PIN CONF and PBB indicates the PIN has been successfully set.
  11. FAIL PIN indicates that new PIN and confirm new PIN do not matched.
  12. Pressbutton to start over.
Unlock PIN
  1. Token is locked after 6 failed attempts with PIN.
  2. LOCK PIN indicates the token is locked.
  3. Token displays 7 digit locked code.
  4. Pressbutton to unlock token.
  5. Enter 7 digit unlock code provided by Account Holding Branch.
  6. LOCK NEW PIN displayed indicates the token is waiting for new PIN.
  7. Enter a 6 digit PIN and pressbutton.
  8. LOCK PIN CONF indicates the token is waiting for new PIN confirmation.
  9. Re-confirm 6 digit PIN and pressbutton.
  10. PBB indicates the unlock PIN was successful.
  11. FAIL X indicates the unlock PIN process was not correct. X indicates the number of failed attempts.
  12. Wait Penalty where X is:
    1. User enters wrong unlock code. Token powers off after a few seconds.
    2. User enters wrong unlock code. Token powers off after a few seconds.
    3. User enters wrong unlock code. User cannot switch off token. Token can only powers off after 1 hour.
    4. User enters wrong unlock code. User cannot switch off token. Token can only powers off after 2 hour.
    5. User enters wrong unlock code. User cannot switch off token. Token can only powers off after 3 hour.
    6. More than 8 failed attempts, token can only powers off after 6 hours.
    Pressbutton to start over.

Therefore be very careful in unlocking the PIN. Please read and understand the instructions before attempting it.

Do's & Don'ts

  • The SecureSign token must be kept by the owner only; it is the owner's responsibility to keep the token secure at all times. The token is not transferable to any third party.
  • Never reveal your PIN to anyone and keep it private.
  • Never personalize your token in any way that would allow others to specifically associate it with you.
  • Keep the token secure, where it is unlikely to be lost or taken by others.
  • Do not expose the security token to extreme temperature, drop or step on it. This will damage the token.
  • Tampering with the internal parts of the security token will cause the token to malfunction. The battery cannot be replaced.
  • The token is not water resistant, keep it dry.

What is Digital Signing?

Digital Signing is a process whereby a transaction performed through PBe is approved by the authorizer(s) based on a SecureSign Code generated by the SecureSign Token. The SecureSign Code generated is unique to that particular token issued to the authorizer and the PIN activated.
