Please be advised that a card PIN may NOT be required for some overseas purchases, depending on the merchant’s requirements.
To avoid the risk of card loss or misuse:
- Always stay vigilant when travelling to ensure your card is safe and secure.
- Do not keep your card in the overhead compartment while on a flight.
- Always keep your card IN SIGHT while travelling. Do not leave your belongings unattended.
- Create a unique card PIN and memorise it. Never share your PIN with anyone.
- IMMEDIATELY report to the Bank if you receive a Public Bank in-app notification or SMS alert for a transaction that you did not recognise or perform.
- If your card is lost, stolen, or compromised, report it to the Bank through any of the following channels:
- Call the telephone number on the back of your card.
- Click on “DEACTIVATE/CANCEL CARD” via the PBe homepage, or go to “Cards” in the MyPB mobile app and search for “DEACTIVATE/CANCEL CARD” to self-deactivate your card.
- Visit the PBe website or mobile app to activate the Kill Switch feature, which allows you to disable your PBe User ID, ATM/debit/credit/commercial/business cards, and deposit accounts from a single access point.
- Refer to the Contact page on the Public Bank website if in doubt.
Take extra precautions to protect your card while travelling!
